Dell has announced the addition of two new ultra-thin notebooks to its Inspiron Z series – the 14z and 15z. The notebooks, available in black or cherry red, have already started shipping. Prices start at $599.
The 14z and 15z are based on Intel’s Consumer Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) platform and run on the power efficient Pentium Dual-Core and Core 2 Solo/Duo processors. The notebooks measure just one inch in thickness. The Inspiron 14z has a 14 inch display and the 15z has a 15.6 inch display. The displays have an aspect ratio of 16:9. The standard battery option is four-cell. Users seeking more battery life can opt for an eight-cell battery.
